2012
The genesis of an idea
The original vision of Miniversity is born in Canada — a response to high first-year dropout rates and a deeper question: as education becomes standardized and results-driven, are we still nurturing independent thinkers?
2015
Establishment of the system
Miniversity is officially founded in Canada, welcoming its first cohort of mainly Grade 11 international students, and builds its full-service support system: residential House System, transport, meals, weekend activities, and US spring-break study tours.
2015–2020
Steady growth
Refining academic and management systems, Miniversity develops both residential and non-residential service models — building a stable student base and a scalable, replicable operating model.
2021
Strategic expansion
Elmwood International Education Group completes the strategic acquisition of Singapore’s Elmwood International College (EIC), an institution with an 8-year heritage — officially expanding Miniversity’s footprint into Asia.
2022
Launch in Asia
Elmwood Asia Academy (later renamed U Track) is established in Singapore as Miniversity’s first local teaching and placement center, forming the “Canada + Singapore” dual-core structure alongside Miniversity Academy Canada.
2023
Global accreditation
Miniversity Academy Canada earns Ontario Ministry of Education registration (BSID) with authority to grant OSSD credits. EIC is registered as a Cambridge International School and signs sister-school partnerships with Columbia International College, The Knox School, and Florida Preparatory Academy.
2025
Brand elevation
Miniversity Academy Canada gains College Board AP authorization (incl. AP Capstone). Singapore U Track is renamed Miniversity Academy Singapore and qualifies as an NSDA host, while EIC earns Singapore’s 4-year EduTrust accreditation and AP/SAT test-center authorization.
2026
Regional expansion
Miniversity establishes its first operation center in Chengdu, forming a collaborative China–Singapore–Canada development structure and entering a phase of scaled, branded growth.
